Account Managers Highlight

The February edition of the AASHTOWare ProjectTM; e-News introduced you to the Account Manager team and their roles and responsibilities. The Info Tech Account Managers, Mark Douglas, Wendell Gardner, Ward Zerbe, Conchi Ossa, Dave Carrow, and Stan Silva, continuously work to know the people and the needs of the agencies.

But, do you know about them? This quarter e-Newsletter and the next provides a personal introduction to help you to get to know them better. Mark Douglas

Mark has been with Info Tech since 1999.  Before becoming an Account Manager, Mark spent most of his career at Info Tech as a Systems Analyst, Project Manager, and Resource Manager. He is technically astute in the AASHTOWare® products and has conducted requirements analysis, coordinated implementation, and migration services. Mark has helped agencies with software upgrades, configuration services, and training. Prior to joining Info Tech, Mark worked for the County of Santa Cruz, CA for almost 10 years, and his work included managing a network and device support team providing county-wide LAN and WAN networks and services. Mark has a degree in Psychology from the University of California. He loves California and enjoys the beaches and the gorgeous sunsets of the West Coast. He is also a Scotch aficionado, so be sure and ask him his favorite.

Wendell Gardner

Wendell joined Info Tech as an Account Manager in July 2016. Prior to info Tech, Wendell worked 15 years for Bentley Systems as a Senior Account Manager in the Pacific Northwest. Wendell holds a Masters in Transportation Engineering from UC Berkley and worked as an engineer for Chicago Area Transportation and the City of Davenport, IA. He has performed design, specification writing, bidding, field inspection, and materials handling associated with construction projects. Wendell also worked 7 years with a regional civil engineering firm in the Seattle area, where he was involved in both design and construction. While there, he was instrumental in advancing the firm’s use of computers and CAD. Wendell and his wife have been married 41 years and raised six children (three girls and three boys) and have six grandchildren. In their spare time, they are involved in church groups, enjoy sailing, mountain climbing, and love exploring the backroads and coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, where they have lived for the past 33 years.

Ward Zerbe

Ward has been an Account Manager for Info Tech for 13 years. He has more than 33 years of experience in software development, network communications, and the application of information systems. Ward graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and information systems, and he holds the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. His career highlights include implementing a nationwide network infrastructure for the Federal Highway Administration, supporting intelligent transportations systems for the Maryland Department of Transportation, and delivering imaging and document management systems for pharmaceutical companies. Ward also spent a year overseas as an adviser to the Royal Thai Government implementing a project management system. He and his wife, Kim, live in Virginia and have four adult children. When he is not on the road, Ward enjoys working around his farm. For Ward, it’s the relationships that are key to making technology successful.
