Agency Views: AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials

August 28, 2018

Collaboration among DOTs with software development has been one of the core purposes of AASHTOWare. The User Group has begun extending this effort into software implementation in the form of developing and sharing complex agency views. The goal is to decrease the amount of time and resources needed to recreate agency specific views, while providing cost savings to implementing agencies.

AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials currently has over 30 standard agency views. A few include: T22, T27, T84, T85, T96, T99, T152, T166, T180, T209, 265, T309, T313, and T315. Currently Tyler Carlson, NE and Lisa Durbin, MT have been working with members of the CTAG and the MTAG to determine which agency views have already been created, make a catalog of those agency views, share the catalog, and have a place that states can upload and share them. There is also a desire to have the ability to share code and/or functions, best practices, etc….for creating and using agency views.

The official location to maintain the views, functions, and best practices has yet to the determined.

If you would like to participate in this collaboration, please contact Tyler Carlson.
