News Article Member Survey Overview and Recommendations

February 28, 2018

The results from the 2017 AASHTOWare Project Member Satisfaction Survey provided constructive feedback that the Task Force can use as they continue to support the AASHTOWare Project program. Here are some of the items that the AASHTOWare Project Task Force (PTF) plans to work on over the next six months to twelve months:

AASHTOWare Project Estimation:

Work to encourage the agencies who are evaluating the AASHTOWare Project Estimation software, ensuring they are aware of the benefits of the product. This work can be accomplished with meetings, webinars and follow-up sessions as appropriate.

AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction:

Work with the user group to provide user lead demonstrations to educate users, possibly through TAG meetings. Demonstrations would be predetermined based on a topic or area of the AASHTOWare Project Preconstruction software via the TAG calls.

AASHTOWare Project Bids:

Work with the Preconstruction TAG coordinator to ensure that any questions regarding the AASHTOWare Project Bids software can be included in the Preconstruction TAG meeting discussions.

AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights & Labor:

Follow up with three agencies concerning their agency specific comments they had regarding the AASHTOWare Project Civil Rights & Labor software.

AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials:

Provide additional information to the user community on the AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials enhancements being included in the software. This additional information, provided via EUD notifications, newsletters and webinars, will help to showcase the benefits of upgrading to the new software.

SYNC Service for AASHTOWare Project and Mobile Apps:

Provide additional information on the SYNC Service and the mobile apps that are currently available to the user community. Continue to work with the user community to determine what other apps should be made available.

As there are concerns that key functionality of AASHTOWare Project BAMS/DSS will not be included in the new AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics software, additional information will be provided to the user community. This information will include updates on the progress of the software development and what features will be included in the new software.

AASHTOWare Project General Feedback:

The PTF will continue to ensure that the information on the AASHTOWare Project products is adequately relayed to the agencies. The Task Force will continue to reach out to agencies, via onsite visits and webinars to get their feedback and to address any concerns they may have.
