Product In Focus: AASHTOWare Project BidTM

With the production-ready availability and stability of the AASHTOWare Project Bids software, and with the goal of providing the most cost-effective product support, the AASHTOWare ProjectTM Task Force has determined the need to sunset the AASHTOWare Project ExpediteTM software effective June 30, 2019. By June 30, 2019, all agencies will need to have migrated to the AASHTOWare Project Bids software. ​

During this period, support from the software development contractor, Info Tech, Inc., is available to member agencies to assist agencies with the transition. Implementation activities are divided into two categories: agency activities and contractor activities. This information is detailed in the AASHTOWare Project Bids Software Migration and Implementation Guide, available through an agency’s End User Designee as part of the software download. ​

  • Improved GEN and LOAD configuration file layout (XML based)
  • Increased stability with a robust framework for future enhancements
  • Improved printing functionality
  • One auto-updating bidding application (Bid) for all agencies
  • Submitting attachments prior to submitting a bid, resulting in faster submissions
  • Improved error visibility when completing bids
  • Improved logging of bidder activity throughout the bidding process
  • Security improvements for Internet bid submission with encrypting, signing and decrypting bids​
