PUG Corner

August 16, 2023

By the time you read this newsletter we will be just days away from the 2023 AASHTOWare Project User Conference in Boise, Idaho. I look forward to seeing all of you sharing your ideas and making connections with others in our user community during your time at the PUG. If you won’t be able to join us in Boise, I hope you are already planning to attend the 2024 PUG Conference in Oklahoma.

Each year during the PUG Conference we elect our board members for the upcoming year. Some of our positions follow a natural progression, the Vice Chair will become the Chair and the Chair will be become the Past Chair. I want to thank Adam Sptizley for his time over the last two years in the Past Chair role.  He has served not once, but twice, when he was willing to step up and reprise his role again last year.  Amy Sullivan, Vice Chair, is moving on to the Chair position and I wish her the best of luck as she leads us forward over the next year. James Kocaba, Treasurer, and Neal Cropper, Secretary, have both done a great job in their respective roles and we hope to see them running for election again this year.

This will be my last message as PUG Chair and I want to thank all of you for allowing me to represent your concerns over the last year. It has been a wonderful experience learning about the different ways that agencies make AASHTOWare Project work for them.

I hope to see you all of you in Boise and at many more TAG meetings and PUG Conferences to come.

Christine Langley
