AASHTOWare Bridge Design and Rating (BrDR) Task Force Membership Update
September 12, 2025The success of AASHTOWare BrDR is in direct proportion to the efforts of our volunteers. Whether you are a Task Force member, a User Group officer, or a member of one of our Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs), this hands-on effort ensures that users are directly impacting, improving, and guiding the success of AASHTOWare BrDR.
With that spirit of volunteerism, we welcome Dr. Robert “Robby” Tennant from West Virginia DOH to the Task Force as a representative for Bridge Rating. Once again, this year, we had several well qualified and energetic applicants for Task Force membership, which made for a difficult decision. Robby serves as the West Virginia State Evaluation Engineer where he is a power user of BrR and brings a wealth of bridge engineering knowledge to the Task Force.
Robby is replacing Mark Bucci from Louisiana DOTD whose second 3-year term ended June 30th. We wish Mark Bucci well as he is stepping away from his Task Force role. We are extremely appreciative of his diligence and tireless efforts to spearhead the refinement of the BrDR Service Request Management Process, the development of the BrDR Vision, Mission, and Goals, and subsequently the development of e BrDR’s 5-Year Strategic Plan under his leadership role as the Task Force Chair.
On July 1st, Jennifer Hart from Indiana DOT was appointed as the Task Force Chair and Scott Westerfield from Mississippi DOT was appointed as the Task Force Vice Chair.
With these changes, the composition of the BrDR Task Force is as follows:
