Desktop Application version still available for use
September 12, 2022Agencies can continue using the desktop application while transitioning to v3.0.
AASHTOWare released the PMED desktop application 2.6.2.0 on July 1, 2022. Agencies will be able to use any version of the software (v2.1 or higher) AND the web application as part of their annual purchase. This is to allow agencies to become familiar with the web application, while continuing to use the desktop app.
Remember: The flexible pavement design strategy calibration coefficients derived using v2.5 and/or 2.6 are applicable and can be used in the web technology v3.0. For the rigid pavement design strategies, however, that is not the case.
The rigid pavement calibration coefficients for JPCP and CRCP may vary between v2.6 and v3.0 because the MERRA-2 climate dataset was used to calibrate rigid designs in v3.0, and the product from NCHRP 1-51 was integrated into v3.0.
Please call or email the HELP Desk (217-356-6400) if you have questions related to the use of the desktop v2.6 or the web technology v3.0.
