PMED Feature Enhancement: Overview of the Implementation of Multiple Asphalt Overlays was held on August 22, 2023 and Drs. Praveen Gopisetti and Wouter Brink provided an overview and demonstration of the Multiple Asphalt Overlay feature enhancement implemented into the design software to permit additional asphalt overlays for pavements structures that have already include an asphalt overlay. The major topics covered in the webinar include:

• List of multiple asphalt overlay design strategies
• Changes to input requirements, engineering assumptions, and limitations for each design strategy
• Important differences between single and multiple overlays
• Changes to the user interface
• Characterizing the existing condition for multiple overlays

Webinar 2

Input Level 2 Creep Compliance was held on September 19, 2023 and presented by Dr. Abu Sufian and Harold Von Quintus, P.E. This webinar explained the procedure to transform the frequency-based measured dynamic modulus master curve to a time-based creep compliance master curve for use in PMED. The procedure is defined as input level 2 for estimating creep compliance and replaces the current procedure based on AASHTO T 322 which uses one test temperature (14F).
