FY25 PMED Q1 Enhancements
September 24, 2024The team has been hard at work tackling dozens of bugs throughout the first quarter. In addition to these bug fixes, the development team has started working on the APADS refactoring effort. The result of this refactoring should improve the performance of APADS in the analysis chain and will vastly improve the maintainability of the underlying analysis. This will make the analysis simpler to modify and work with in the future.
The team has also been hard at work analyzing NCHRP 1-59 for potential integration and is continuing to review the report to understand how it could integrate it into PMED. After the analysis by the Task Force a report would go to AASHTO COMP 5d for voting on future adaptation into the AASHTO MEPDG MOP before it would be integrated into PMED.
There are several features that we anticipate starting (and completing some) in the second quarter including:
-
- Transitioning to client-side blazor will start in October and should be wrapping up by end of January! This feature has large usability improvements for users, and we are really looking forward to its implementation.
- Implementing a revised sensitivity and thickness optimization to use S3 buckets. This process will allow users to run larger sensitivity and thickness optimization designs.
- Default provider libraries will allow users to set libraries as defaults for new designs and specific design strategy selections, allowing further agency specific customization of PMED implementations
- Library sharing will allow agencies to “share” their libraries in the app with other’s tenants. This feature streamlines data integrations with third-party agencies using the software.
