FY26 Webinar 4

July 15, 2026

The PMED software traffic module compiles load spectra data from vehicle class and axle load distributions for use in the mechanistic response modules. Almost all truck and axle configurations meet some standard classification that can be seamlessly entered in PMED, however, occasionally a transportation agency has an unusual temporary loading scenario where a very heavy load on a complex axle configuration will be traversing part of the highway infrastructure. The purpose of this webinar is to provide (1) an overview and explanation of the PMED traffic module inputs and (2) guidance on how unusual vehicle configurations can be modeled for distress predictions with reasonable accuracy.
