Pavement ME Design Version 3.0 Released

July 08, 2022

It’s here; the web application version 3.0, was released on July 1, 2022. Details on the subscription models and IT related data have been posted on the PMED website.

The AASHTOWare team would like to thank all members of the Technology Review Team (TRT) that provided valuable advice over the past years in guiding the development work. Chadwick Becker delivered the first webinar on, Part 1 – An Introduction to Version 3.0 earlier in June. Part 2 will be delivered in the first quarter of FY 2023.

Important note to those agencies that will continue using the desktop application while transitioning to v3.0:

AASHTOWare released the PMED desktop application v2.6.2.0 on July 1. Agencies will be able to use any version of the software (v2.1 or higher) AND the web application as part of their annual purchase. This is to allow agencies to become familiar with the web application and to give time for recalibration, if required, while continuing to use the desktop app. Please call the HELP Desk if you have questions.

Some agencies have asked: Will the flexible and semi-rigid pavement global and local calibration coefficients derived using version 2.6 be applicable to version 3.0? The answer to that question is YES – the global and local calibration factors derived for version 2.6 can be used in version 3.0.

New rigid pavement calibration coefficients are included in version 3.0 – this was a major enhancement to the software in FY 2022.
