Welcome to the new BrDR Task Force Member – Yihong Gao, Minnesota DOT

We are excited to announce Ms. Yihong Gao as the newest member of the AASHTOWare Bridge Design and Rating Task Force effective July 1, 2024.

Yihong currently serves as the Bridge Load Rating Engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and has approximately 30 years of bridge design and rating experience. She led the effort to create and develop the MnDOT Bridge Load Rating and Evaluation Manual and managed several major bridge load rating projects, such as implementing the LRFR process to the statewide bridge database. Her extensive experience will be a great asset to the Task Force and we look forward to working with her in her new capacity.
