AASHTOWare Project™ 4.6 Release

Enhancement details, upgrade process, and more

AASHTOWare Project™ 4.6 was released on September 10, 2021, and it is packed with updates, enhancements, and warranty fixes. Agencies are encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible in order to take advantage of these improvements.

An interesting fact… all of the hosted agencies upgraded their development environments within two weeks of release! Typically, hosted agencies are the first to move a new release into production as Infotech does a lot of the heavy lifting. If you would like to claim the title of “First Agency to Upgrade Production” be sure to let your Account Manager know as soon as your upgrade is complete. If you would like to see which agencies are hosted, visit aashtowareproject.org and navigate to Modules and then AASHTOWare Project Hosting Services. Scroll down to see a map of the hosted agencies.

If you’re wondering how agencies can upgrade so quickly, consider watching the August 31, 2021 AASHTOWare Project Upgrade Process Panel discussion where representatives from Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, and Infotech provide an overview of the upgrade process and review the benefits of upgrading. The recorded webinar is available on aashtowareproject.org under Resources → Videos → Project Videos tab → Recent Webinar Videos.

If you would like to know more about the new release, we highly recommend you set aside an hour to watch the AASHTOWare Project 4.6 Release Webinar that was hosted on September 23, 2021. This video is in the same location as the Upgrade Process Panel webinar. If you find it useful, please let us know and recommend it to a coworker.

There are a total of 32 enhancements in this release, with an additional 84 TMRs resolved. As promised, this release expands the dashboard functionality and delivers two additional dashboards – Contract Summary and Change Order. It also delivers the first of three TMRs for Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) on Contracts. The other two SBE TMRs will be delivered in Project 4.7 and 4.8, scheduled for release in March and October, 2022.
