The SaaS version of AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics™ will be available to all agencies this July!

AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics is a powerful module that uses all the data in the unified database to uncover unexpected relationships and insights. By leveraging real-time data for interactive analysis, agencies can:

• Set key performance indicators based on your agency’s constantly-updating historical data, and quickly review results such as determining whether bids are in range
• Review dashboards for an executive overview of proposals including if they are far outside the engineer’s estimate and require further analysis
• Identify items of concern on a proposal, filtered by your agency-defined thresholds, and document the results of your review after quickly comparing these items to historical data
• Respond quickly and accurately to citizen, legislative, and inter-agency requests for information, using current data

Over the past four years, twelve agencies have tested AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics by using the software in production and providing their feedback to the Infotech development team. That feedback was incorporated into the software along with new features and fixes and released every two weeks, which will culminate in the availability of AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics SaaS to all agencies on July 1st.

What is SaaS?

Great question! SaaS stands for Software-as-a-Service, and it refers to the increasingly commonplace practice of offering centrally-hosted, cloud-based software through a subscription model. SaaS platforms offer increased flexibility, easier access, and most importantly, automatic updates that don’t require agency IT departments. Offering AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics as a SaaS platform ensures agencies have access to the most up-to-date features and enhancements, informed by their own feedback.

What should I expect from the new AASHTOWare Project SaaS release?

AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics SaaS will offer instant access to the latest enhancements. Updates will launch automatically, so every agency that licenses the module will be using the same version. This consistency should make it easier for agencies to share knowledge and best practices about the software. AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics SaaS will come complete with all existing analyses, plus new analysis functionality that offers quicker, more in-depth results. Other key features include:

• Notebook functionality to document findings and share your analysis journey
• In-app how-to resources for quick answers to common questions
• Integrated resources to share your likes, dislikes, and suggestions from directly within the module

What shouldn’t I expect from the new AASHTOWare Project SaaS?

AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics SaaS does not contain a report generation tool, though this functionality is available in web-based AASHTOWare Project.
