AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics Solicitation Update

August 27, 2020

Way back in the summer of 2018, the AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics™ solicitation was released and eleven agencies joined together to commit funds and expertise to the development project.  We are excited to announce that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation has recently become the twelfth agency to join the solicitation!

When asked “Why did Wisconsin decide to participate in the development of AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics?” their response was: “Wisconsin would like to make our bid analysis more efficient and make updates on how we analyze bids. Unbalanced bids are becoming more common and we would like these unbalanced bids to be easier to analyze and compare to other bids and the estimate.”

As a refresher, the four-year AASHTOWare Project Data Analytics development project began in February 2019 and the main focus is a Software as a Service(Saas) module that leverages the power of the AASHTOWare Project™ Unified Database to improve agency’s productivity and ability to make well-informed, data-driven decisions throughout the entire construction process.

Although this project won’t be fully complete until 2023, the twelve agencies participating in the solicitation are able to test new features, provide immediate feedback, and utilize production-ready software every two weeks.
