February 28, 2026First, a big thank you to the agencies and Project User Group (PUG) members who helped develop the AASHTOWare Project Enhancement Ranking dashboard.
Summary of Requested Features
For User Representatives:

- Display the last update date for each agency.
- Ability to provide a dynamic ranking of TMRs across all PUG categories for each agency, with updated dates shown.
- Ability to view other agency results.
- Ability to assign a PUG Category lead who will maintain TMR rankings.
For PUG Board Members:
- A Dashboard showing an overall ranking of TMRs within each PUG category, including aggregated agency rankings.
- A Dashboard showing overall ranking of TMRs across all categories, including aggregated agency rankings.
- Ability to review and request obsoletion of TMRs.

For PTF Members:
- Ability to view all dashboards at any time.
With these requirements in mind, the dashboard was developed. Using it, Infotech was able to quickly identify and estimate the top agency-ranked TMRs significantly faster than the previous process. Once completed, the next step is for the PTF to approve enhancements for development.
Review: Factors Considered by the PTF
Overall ranking is the primary driver of PTF review. The Task Force also evaluates the top enhancements within each category and considers how they rank in the broader context. Category rankings provide essential depth and ensure that agency-level priorities and nuances remain visible during evaluation.
As we implement this new process, the PTF owes it to the user community to avoid rushing decisions on how to apply this completely new ranking system. Careful consideration will help maintain fairness and transparency.
Finally, we want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who ranked their agency priorities. Having this information readily available makes the process smoother and more effective. Your input is invaluable to ensure that decisions reflect real needs and priorities.
