August 28, 2024

As we move forward into the second half of 2024, the AASHTOWare Project Task Force (PTF) has seen some notable changes in its membership.

Goodbyes and Gratitude:

  • Charlie Groshens: After years of dedicated service, Charlie Groshens from the Minnesota Department of Transportation completed his term with the PTF on June 30, 2024. Charlie’s subject matter expertise and unwavering willingness to participate have brought continuity and stability to the PTF during times of turnover. His active involvement and contributions have been instrumental in driving our projects forward. We are incredibly grateful for his exceptional service and commitment to the team. Thank you, Charlie, for your outstanding contributions and for the positive impact you have made on the PTF.
  • Lanny Campbell: Also departing on June 30, 2024, was Lanny Campbell from the Kansas Department of Transportation. Serving as Vice Chair, Lanny’s leadership and strong agency knowledge have significantly contributed to the success of our initiatives. His efforts to enhance data analytics expertise within the PTF have been invaluable. It has been a pleasure working with Lanny, and we will genuinely miss his insightful contributions and collaborative spirit.

Welcoming New Member:

  • Megan Murray: Joining the PTF on July 1, 2024, is Megan Murray from the Kansas Department of Transportation. Megan brings over 10 years of professional experience and extensive knowledge in the implementation and administration of the AASHTOWare Project. Her role as a Management Systems Analyst II has placed her at the forefront of KDOT’s initiatives, providing real insight to help make informed decisions. Megan’s involvement in the Data Analytics Technical Review Team and Agile Enhancement Teams demonstrates her ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups to achieve common goals. We are excited to welcome Megan to the PTF and look forward to her contributions.

Leadership Change:

  • Kathy Terrio: With the departure of Lanny Campbell, we are pleased to announce that Kathy Terrio from the Montana Department of Transportation has been appointed as the new Vice Chair of the PTF effective July 1, 2024. Kathy’s extensive experience and contributions to the AASHTOWare Project make her an excellent candidate for this leadership position. Her leadership skills and deep understanding of the project’s needs will be invaluable in her new role.

We are confident that these changes will bring fresh perspectives and continued success to the PTF. We look forward to the valuable contributions from our new and current members as we continue to set the strategic direction for the AASHTOWare Project.
