Are you using the new Infotech Mobile Inspector® 2.0?

February 28, 2022

Infotech Mobile Inspector® is a mobile tool designed to give field inspectors more flexibility by allowing them to capture daily report information on their mobile devices. It offers a convenient way for agency teams to automatically transfer relevant data into AASHTOWare Project Construction & Materials™.

In April 2020, a new version of Mobile Inspector was launched as a Progressive Web Application (PWA). Freeing agencies from the requirement of an app store download, this new web-based application was designed to work on any device, whether connected or offline. This new version of Mobile Inspector will work on current Android, Apple, or Windows devices and still functions like the original Infotech Mobile Inspector application.

Additional benefits of the Mobile Inspector 2.0 include:

  • Acceptance Record functionality in the PWA version 2.0 and higher
  • Quicker update and enhancement rollouts
  • Updated and modernized aesthetics
  • The ability to integrate with Trimble through the Mobile Inspector Measure Service

Before you start checking out the new and improved Mobile Inspector, a few things to note:

  • You must be updated to at least AASHTOWare Project™ 4.1 (Patch 2), 4.2, or 4.3 to use the new Mobile Inspector PWA
  • Acceptance records will only work with AASHTOWare Project™ 4.3 and the Mobile Inspector 2.0 bridge.
