Greetings User Community

June 16, 2023

With the creation of the Safe Streets and Roads for All federal safety grant program, many local partners with minimal safety analysis experience have become more interested in local road safety plans and crash data. AASHTOWare Safety Powered by Numetric meets agencies and users where they are, to provide faster analysis. AASHTOWare Safety can help experts go deeper faster, or walk inexperienced users through the process. A new Crash Tree feature was added to AASHTOWare Safety Powered By Numetric to help our safety partners quickly understand high-level patterns in the crash data and find their biggest opportunities for safety improvements on their roads.

For those agencies looking for ways to meet the equity requirements of the Vulnerable Road User Assessment, Georgia DOT and FHWA presented a webinar in April about how Georgia DOT is integrating equity data into their safety analysis process in AASHTOWare Safety Powered by Numetric. You can find the recording of the webinar on the AASHTOWare website.

Our goal is to have informative articles that help our user community stay up-to-date with all things AASHTOWare Safety. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to Ryan Fragapane, AASHTO Project Manager.
