License Fees and Offerings for next Fiscal Year (FY23)

February 28, 2022

The AASHTOWare Project Task Force (PTF) has reviewed the current product licensing structure and has set licensing fees for FY23 (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023). As you may be aware, there was no increase in license fees this fiscal year. However, the PTF has determined the need to increase the FY23 license fees by 5 percent in accordance with increasing costs of supporting, maintaining, and enhancing AASHTOWare Project.

This linked table outlines the licensing fees and structure for the current fiscal year (FY22), the next fiscal year (FY23), and the maximum projected licensing fee increase for the following fiscal year (FY24).

In addition to providing the license fee table, I wanted to highlight a few changes to the licensing options starting in July 2022:

  • ForneyVault, a machine-integrated, cloud-based construction materials testing platform, is being added to the catalog. ForneyVault and AASHTOWare Project have achieved an interface that allows sample information and testing data to automatically flow between the two systems. If you would like to learn more about ForneyVault you can visit https://forneyvault.com/.
  • Agencies will be able to obtain a no-cost Estimation license with an existing paid Estimator license, for up to 2 years. This license option is intended to help agencies implement Estimation at no additional cost. Once in production with Estimation, an agency must begin paying the associated license fee
  • Edits have been made to the Process for Funding Additional Enhancements that directs agencies to the process outlined on aashtowareproject.org (Community > Get Involved > Agency Funding for Enhancement Items).
  • Clarification language has been added on Supplemental Support (coverage for products beyond Reduced Support Call Ticket time limit or No Support, application installation/configuration, agency views and custom reports).

Questions regarding license fees can be directed to the AASHTOWare Project Manager, Brian Korschgen, at 202-624-8566 or bkorschgen@aashto.org.

Sincerely,

Janet Treadway
