AASHTOWare Safety Alternative Design enables designers, planners, and safety engineers to quickly and easily assess the impact of safety on projects, including the ability to compare different alternatives simultaneously. This innovative application provides designers with the necessary information to create designs that effectively incorporate safety into every project. With its simple user interface, Alternative Design helps users quickly evaluate the effects of modifying roadway attributes, offering a cost-benefit ratio to aid in project prioritization.
The application includes predictive methods for:
- Rural Two-Lane, Two-Way Roads
- Rural Multilane Highways
- Urban and Suburban Arterials
- Freeways, Interchange Ramps, and Interchange Terminals
