Starting in July 2023, AASHTOWare Project™ Hosting Services will offer additional, innovative licensing options in the AASHTOWare FY 2024 catalog. All three options will bundle cloud hosting services with these AASHTOWare Project™ modules: Preconstruction, Bids, and Data Analytics. In addition:

  • Bundle 1 includes the Civil Rights & Labor and Estimation modules.
  • Bundle 2 includes the Construction & Materials modules.
  • Bundle 3 includes the Civil Rights & Labor, Construction & Materials, and Estimation modules.

With AASHTOWare Project Hosting Services, you get a secure and robust system that users can access from anywhere, at any time. Eighteen agencies already enjoy the benefits of cloud hosting – improved system availability and reliability, people and time savings, and streamlined support and service.

Benefit: Availability and Reliability

The Hosting Services team monitors system performance and takes action to ensure a great user experience, eliminating issues with outdated or over-utilized equipment. Experts in cloud hosting security, they manage a multi-layered backup and disaster recovery process. Numerous quarterly reviews and processes, vulnerability scans, and annual audits by third parties keep data secure and enable agencies to safely use all forms of interfaces and external user access.

Benefit: People and Time Savings

Having a reliable system that is available to users when and where they need it brings peace of mind. But, that isn’t the only benefit. In today’s world, we’re often asked to do more with less and IT resources are sometimes scarce. Cloud hosting gives you the flexibility to keep your best IT employees focused on the agency’s most valuable projects while the AASHTOWare Project Hosting Services team takes care of day-to-day system management. The bundled licensing options include continued support post-implementation with a fully staffed and experienced remote IT team.

Benefit: Support and Service

You’ve heard how the Hosting Services team monitors performance to keep the system available when and where users need it. But unless you’re an IT system administrator, you may wonder what else goes into the day-to-day management of the system and its infrastructure. As you might expect, the Hosting Services team will also keep your system current with the latest software upgrades and patches.

AASHTOWare Project modules are designed to be tailored to the way your agency works. So, it makes sense that system management tasks will vary by agency. For example, user role settings and agency options are set so that employees see the information they need. Your agency may have custom configurations for various components, or custom database objects that must be disabled prior to each software upgrade and enabled again afterward. The Hosting Services team maintains upgrade and data refresh process documents that include the agency-specific details needed to keep your system tailored for the way you work and running as smoothly as possible.

Infotech isn’t just our cloud hosting provider – they’re the developer and official contractor of the AASHTOWare Project. Having the same company host and support the software means that customer support understands both the application and your agency’s business needs. Take it from Adam Bleskacek, an AASHTOWare Project System Administrator with the Wisconsin DOT: “We can rely on the expertise on the server side so that we’re not going to several different teams within the DOT to identify and fix issues. We know when we go to Infotech that it will get resolved quickly.
