PUG Chair Corner: Virtual PUG 2021 Conference

May 27, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic is still affecting all our lives, and the 2021 PUG is no different!  The 2021 PUG will be virtual again this year and will be held on Monday, September 27th through Thursday, September 30th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM ET. The PUG Board is still discussing the content of the conference. Like the 2020 PUG, there will be no cost to attendees.

The PUG Board also met with the Project User Group Representatives on Wednesday, April 21st, and have agreed to an in-person cost increase from $400 to $500 for the 2022 PUG in Nevada. This increase will be reevaluated after the 2022 PUG. There was good discussion at the meeting. There were questions on what a virtual component would consist of at future PUG Conferences. So, the PUG Board has sent out a survey to the PUG User Representatives asking for their input on what should be included. The PUG Board will look through those responses and schedule another meeting with the PUG User Representatives to determine the next steps.

The PUG Board is always committed to ensuring that the user community is updated on all happenings within the user community.

Thank you, and have a great summer!

Adam Spitzley, PUG Chair
