PUG Chair Corner
November 18, 2021I would like to introduce myself to the User Community. My name is Kathy Terrio, and I am the 2022 PUG Chair. I’ve been with the Montana DOT for quite some time and concentrate on the Civil Rights and Labor and Construction areas of AASHTOWare. Even though these are my working areas, I am interested in many other modules as well.
Recently we completed our second virtual PUG Conference. The sessions were well attended, with some great presentations! The recordings of the presentations can be found at: https://www.aashtowareproject.org/pug#pug-conference. Thank you, everyone!
This year we introduced the Forum as a new way to seek assistance and knowledge from other users. If you haven’t tried it yet, go to https://forum.aashtowareproject.org/, and you’ll see the topics currently being discussed. Unlike the listserv, you can now set the categories you’d like to follow and have the Digest emailed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This allows you to stay current on issues you are interested in at a frequency you can manage.
The 2021 PUG Ballot Schedule is posted with voting starting 10/19/2021 through 11/05/2021. You can find the Pre-Ballot, Schedule, and Fact Sheet at https://www.aashtowareproject.org/pug#pug-ballot.
Now on to the fun stuff! The 2022 PUG Conference will be in-person next year. It seems to have been so long since we saw each other’s smiling faces. I can’t wait to see old friends and colleagues and meet new members in Nevada!
PUG Conference Schedule going forward:
PUG 2022 (Nevada) – Sunday, October 16th, 2022, through Thursday, October 20th, 2022
PUG 2023 (Idaho) – Sunday, August 27th, 2023, through Thursday, August 31st, 2023
PUG 2024 (Virginia) – To Be Determined
Thank you!
Kathy Terrio, 2021 PUG Chair
