Introductions

As the new PUG Board Chairman for 2024-2025, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ken Sereduk. I am an Infrastructure Engineer for the Idaho Transportation Department. I have worked for our transportation department for 14 years. I am the System Administrator and End User Designee for AASHTOWare Project. I look forward to serving my term as Chair and learning from the obstacles to overcome as well as love helping others and meeting new people.

New Board members

Speaking of new people, I am excited to introduce the 2025 PUG Board members. Your Vice-chair is Rodger Johnson (CA), Secretary is Neal Cropper (OH), and the four new advisors, in no particular order, are James Kocaba (CT), Kathy James (MT), Meagan Wright (AK), and Dan Brayack (WV). Each brings a wealth of knowledge to the Board and I am excited to work with all of them.

Reflection

Change is good! Our first conference planned by AASHTO made a huge difference for the PUG Board. The 2024 PUG Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was a great success. Having a dedicated meeting planner for the conference allowed the Board to focus more on providing content for you. There has been positive feedback regarding splitting the days between general sessions followed by breakout sessions.

We would love to hear what you thought of the Conference. A link to the survey can be found here: Survey Link

We chose the location for the 2026 PUG Conference and the community has chosen Tennessee!

We are excited to see what the 2025 PUG Conference in Columbus, Ohio holds in store for us.

2024 PUG Ballot

The 2024 PUG Ballot should be wrapping up at the time of writing. At time of closing, before the extension, we had 14 agencies completed, 14 had not started, and 13 were still in progress. We extended the voting period to allow agencies more time to complete the voting. The choices are just too good to pick from!

2025 PUG Conference Dates

The 2025 PUG Conference will be held in Columbus, Ohio from October 26th to October 30th! Keep the dates in mind and I hope to see you all there. A justification letter has been posted to the aashtowareproject.org website for use in requesting travel and can be found here: APO. We will be working on getting the agenda started as soon as possible, so keep your eyes and ears open.

Closing

There is a lot of work to do and I am excited and look forward to serving you all! I am here for you and if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of us on the board and we will be happy to assist. Thanks all, Ken Sereduk.
