We’re introducing a new section to the quarterly newsletter, the Training Corner. Each quarter, we’ll feature key training assets-like videos, documentation, and webinars-that are relevant and timely. This new section is designed to help everyone easily discover and explore valuable resources that can help enhance your product knowledge and get the most out of AASHTOWare Project™.

This quarter, the assets we are spotlighting include specific microlearning videos available on aashtowareproject.org (APO). Microlearning videos are short videos that provide just-in-time training on a single topic. These videos serve as a quick learning tool and alternative to longer form educational videos like webinars. Currently, there are microlearning videos on various topics relevant to each module. After you log into APO, you can explore all your options by visiting the Microlearning tab in the Videos section.

Getting Started with AASHTOWare Project

If you’re looking for an effective way to establish a quick baseline for new users to AASHTOWare Project, check out the Getting Started with AASHTOWare Project microlearning videos. You can view the different videos in this series by expanding the header by the same name on the Microlearning tab.

This series helps new users familiarize themselves with common system terminology, while also learning basic navigation tips and tricks. Establishing this common baseline for new users can significantly boost their confidence with utilizing the system and allow them to more efficiently carry out their daily tasks across modules.

AASHTOWare Project Asset Tracker™

We also have microlearning videos on new tools like AASHTOWare Project Asset Tracker. By clicking on the Asset Tracker header on the Microlearning tab, you can view two new videos on Asset Tracker: Construction and Design. These videos can help users better understand how AASHTOWare Project Asset Tracker communicates with AASHTOWare Project.

In particular, the Construction video covers how the tool interacts with a Contract Project once it has been transitioned to Construction within AASHTOWare Project™. While the Design video helps users learn how to create and manage designs, import assets and items, reconcile quantities, as well as how to sync AASHTOWare Project and the Asset Tracker to see how changes are reflected across both systems throughout the project lifecycle.
