PUG Chairs Corner
February 22, 2023Spring is right around the corner and for many of us the construction season is ramping up. Before you get too busy here is a summary of what the PUG Board has been working on for you.
New Resolution Area on the Forum
Resolutions are an important part of how the user community can affect the course of AASHTOWare Project. A resolution is written when the PUG Community would like to formally request the PTF perform an action. These actions often involve the use of funds generated from the licensing fees that agencies pay and every member shares in the responsible management of these funds. In order to increase discussion and facilitate resolutions being submitted throughout the year, the PUG Board has created a new area on the Forum. We encourage you to add resolution ideas here and to provide feedback on the ideas of others. If you are looking for information on how to write a resolution you can find a template to use in this area as well.
2023 PUG Conference
Partners in Excellence is the theme of the 2023 PUG. We all have areas we excel at and innovations that we can share with others. Our user community is built on partnering across transportation agencies and we want to capitalize on this momentum. If your state has an AASHTOWare Project related innovation you would be willing to share we want to hear about it. If you know of another agency that you want to hear from, we want to know that as well. We plan to add panel discussion on various topics that are of interest to the user community at the 2023 PUG in Idaho.
PUG general meeting
We want to hear from you and plan to hold a general meeting in March. We are interested in learning what you value in the PUG and how you would like to see it evolve over time. I think we may even have a new resolution to vote on. Be on the lookout for an invite to this meeting in the near future.

Christine Langley
