March 15th is the deadline for the first FHWA NBI data submittal that uses the SNBI data and reporting protocol. AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) is built to support your data quality review and SNBI reporting processes! The BrM 7.1.5 patch is available to modify the 2026 SNBI JSON submittal and is recommended for all agencies.
BrM 7.2, will be available to the user community in April 2026! With this release, the BrM user interface will be enhanced to adhere to WCAG 2.2 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, which is a growing requirement of member agencies.
Mayvue is in the process of creating a new BrM 7 Optimizer training series. The training will be broken down into shorter (5 – 10 minute) videos to allow viewers to pick and choose what area(s) of the Optimization pyramid they would like to focus on.
The Task Force is developing a work plan for the next major release, BrM 7.3. While the details are still being finalized, most of the release focuses on the user-voted priority enhancements and feedback from BrM 7.X users
Document360 recently made an update to its API which can break links to the BrM user manual for some users. Specifically, Document360 implemented an update which throws an error for direct links where there are two or more backslashes.
In our ongoing efforts to add value to the AASHTOWare OpenAPI experience, the Task Force has published additional documentation to aid in the use of the purpose-built calls released in BrM API v2 with BrM 7.1.

Agencies are encouraged to begin planning for the transition to cloud-hosted software now. Effective July 1, 2028 (start of FY2029), BrM will be offered as a cloud-hosted solution only.
In 2026 AASHTO is bringing together the AASHTOWare Rating and Design Bridge User Group (RADBUG) and Bridge Management User Group (BrMUG) meetings to strengthen collaboration and create a more unified approach to address bridge-related challenges.
