Four webinars will be held this fiscal year. The webinar topics were selected based on feedback from the user group meetings, and commonly asked questions. Two webinars were delivered in December 2020. Both webinars were well attended, and we thank all of you who were able to attend. If you were unable to attend, the webinar recordings, presentations, and Q&A responses are available on the webinar page of the PMED website.

The development work for the next generation of the PMED software is progressing at a steady pace. Within the last few months, a technical review team (TRT) was established to provide their feedback throughout the development process. We meet with the TRT every other week to discuss various aspects of the software which focus on the user experience. The TRT members represent DOT engineers, consultants, and academia.

The PMED user group meeting was held virtually between 8 – 10 December 2020. The meeting had the most attendees out of all previous meetings. For information related to the user group, please contact Kelly Smith from Applied Pavement Technology.

The Pavement ME Design Task Force is currently soliciting applications for a vacancy within the task force. The term of this appointment will run from July 1^st 2021 until June 30^th 2024. If you are interested in filling the role, please send a copy of your resume as well as a letter from your supervisor indicating your ability to serve on the task force to Ryan Fragapane, rfragapane@aashto.org, by Friday, March 5^th, 2021.

We want to remind you that there are many resources related to all aspects of Pavement ME Design. The MEPDG Clearinghouse is a great resource to see what research has been done by state highway agencies for implementing the Pavement ME Design. Some topics include local calibration, input characterization, laboratory testing, traffic input collection, and many, many, more. Please visit the ME Clearing house website to learn about the research that has been completed in recent years.

As a reminder, a new discussion forum location for PMED has been established at www.engineering.stackexchange.com. The software maintenance team has moved the existing Q&A over to the new site. If you have questions, please post them on the new site with the “pavement” tag.

Service units are available for purchase through AASHTO for implementing and using the Pavement ME Design software package. Many state agencies have already purchased several service units, and these agencies can contact AASHTO to redeem them for implementation support.
