Webinar #1: Data Management in PMED v3.0 – Tenants, Libraries, and Workspaces
The first FY 2023 webinar was held on August 16, 2022, and is now available on the PMED website. This webinar focused on PMED v3.0 data and user management using tenants, workspaces, and libraries to effectively manage agency data in the web application.

Agencies can continue using the desktop application while transitioning to v3.0.
AASHTOWare released the PMED desktop application 2.6.2.0 on July 1, 2022. Agencies will be able to use any version of the software (v2.1 or higher) AND the web application as part of their annual purchase. This is to allow agencies to become familiar with the web application, while continuing to use the desktop app.
PMED v3.0 now allows users to run dynamic modulus in the user interface! Just click the “Run Dynamic Modulus” button and the app will generate master, shift, and viscosity curves based on your inputs. This feature was added to reduce some of the frustration for users not being able to review dynamic modulus data until the program had run. Now it is a simple click of the button. This added feature has NO impact on the calibration coefficients.
A workshop was completed last year for engineers in Guatemala. This was a 3.5-day workshop delivered virtually to about 10 design/materials engineers in Guatemala. It covered new design as well as rehabilitation design for typical pavements in Guatemala. If your international organization or agency is interested in a focused training session, please contact the HELP desk to get the details in setting one up.
PMED v3.0 is now released on a bi-monthly basis. These releases will include bug fixes and feature enhancements that do not impact the analysis. Keep your eyes out for new features added to the system!

International Pavement Professionals are invited to attend the 2023 International PMED Workshop to be held at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC.
The workshop will address the following topics
- Introduction and demonstration of the PMED 3.0 web-based software,
- PMED V 3.0 Web-based vs desktop versions
- Incorporated and upcoming enhancements
1. The product from NCHRP 1-51 on varying the interface friction between the PCC slab and the base layer was integrated into the web application (v3.0) but is not included in the desktop application (version 2.6).
2. All pavement design strategies (including rigid pavement designs) now use the MERRA-2 climate dataset which is automatically provided in the application through the AASHTOWare Data Integration Framework (ADIF).
